It started with us just wanting to get our friends/colleagues all together to practice shooting portraits and for us to have someone to interact with (because, as you can imagine, most of our work is done at home with not much human interaction haha).

Portraits with Friends (PWF) has finally evolved into something more meaningful - where we share great food, good company, and inspiration with our creative friends and colleagues.

We realized early on that we find inspiration in different things, not just photography, that's why we make it a point to connect with people from different industries, especially those who champion creativity, passion, inclusion, and kindness. Sitting down and just talking about ideas and thoughts and opinions with insightful individuals is one of our guilty pleasures! So, to get some of the most inspiring people we know in one space, talking and laughing, sharing their successes and worries; it feels amazing! It is what a great community feels like: when we appreciate each other, we support each others' gigs, and we root for each others' success.

Our hope is that, thru PWF, our friends, at the least, get to have new portraits for LinkedIn (haha) and, at the most, they find a genuine connection with someone new, someone they can work with in the future - from creative collaborations to close friendships. We also hope that this becomes a regular thing. Seeing how much fun and successful this has been, we can totally imagine doing it again, hopefully with the support of our other creative friends winkwink haha

We wanna give a special shout out to Zara and Mira of Rada Events (www.cheese-z.com; www.instagram.com/radaevents) for collaborating on this Spring 2020 mixer. Thank you so much for sharing your skills and talent. The grazing table was literally a feast for both the eyes and our tastebuds!
